Regular City Council Meeting Minutes
City of Porter
October 2, 2023 6:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Donald Verschelde.
Council members present were Kim Jelen, Donald Verschelde, Josh Sumption, Pat Vlaminck, Craig Peterson, and Judy Verschelde.
Also present was Bollig (Mark & Chris)
Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the minutes of the September 5, 2023, Regular City Council meeting and the September 18, 2023 Special City Council meeting. The Regular Minutes were approved as read in a motion by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Craig Peterson. The Special City Council meeting were approved as read in a motion by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Josh Sumption. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.

Discussed the snow removal for the City of Porter.
Resolution 10.02.2023
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Porter, in the County of Yellow Medicine and the State of Minnesota that the city gives their approval for an offsite Bingo gambling permit on December 31, 2023, starting at 3pm for the Porter Fire Relief Department Association located within the city limits at the Porter Community Hall for rent of $0.00.
A motion was made by Josh Sumption, seconded by Pat Vlaminck, to approve Resolution 10.02.2023. All were in favor with none opposed, and the resolution was passed.

Bollig gave an update on possible water system infrastructure for the City of Porter.
​
A motion was made by Craig Peterson, seconded by Josh Sumption to approve, and authorize Bollig Engineering to submit the preliminary engineering & environmental reports to appropriate funding agencies with council guidance on recommendations and edits. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.

408,000 gallons of water was used.

A motion was made by Craig Peterson, seconded Pat Vlaminck, to pay the bills as read. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
