Regular City Council Meeting Minutes 

City of Porter 

November 1, 2021, 6:30 p.m. 

 

Meeting called to order by Mayor, Donald Verschelde  

 

Council members present were Kim Jelen, Donald Verschelde, Josh Sumption, Craig Peterson, Pat Vlaminck, and Judy Verschelde.   

 

Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the minutes of the Regular City Council Meeting on October 4, 2021 and the Public Hearing on October 13, 2021.  Minutes were approved as read in a motion by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Josh Sumption.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried. 

 

The ponds will be discharged and the water at the park will be shut off. 

 

Will need to relook at bids for the concession stands – no bids were received by the November 1st deadline. 

 

The City reviewed the State Demographic Report from the 2020 Census. 

 

Delinquent water bills will be assessed to the homeowner’s property taxes. 

 

337,000 gallons used 

 

Pat Vlaminck made a motion to pay the bills as read.  Josh Sumption seconded the motion.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.  

A motion was made by Craig Peterson, seconded by Josh Sumption, to adjourn the meeting.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
