Regular City Council Meeting Minutes
City of Porter
July 6, 2021, 6:30 p.m.
Meeting called to order by Mayor, Donald Verschelde
Council members present were Donald Verschelde, Josh Sumption, Craig Petersen, Pat Vlaminck, and Judy Verschelde.
Water samples were sent in, and the pond will be sprayed.
Discussions were held on the following topics, the Rural Development Grant equipment for the fire department. Masks and tanks for SCBA’s were received; the FEMA flood maps. The city will propose an ordinance and hold a public meeting to review at the August 2nd City Council meeting; the road conditions on Oak Street. Craig Petersen will work with the elevator and Anthony’s to grade and add granite fines; 3 oak trees have been planted in the park and six more are to be planted; a free library will also be installed at the park; the work continues with the city attorney on the property transfer for Southwest Tables.

Fire Department memorials for Bill Ningen from Paula Syltie, Waldo & Marilyn Petersen, and Marlene Richards.
A defibrillator battery from Sanford

Josh Sumption made a motion to pay the bills as read. Craig Petersen seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Josh Sumption, to adjourn the meeting. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
