Regular City Council Meeting Minutes

City of Porter

February 1, 2021 6:30 p.m.

 

Meeting called to order by Mayor, Donald Verschelde

 

Council members present were Kim Jelen, Donald Verschelde, Josh Sumption, Pat Vlaminck, Craig Petersen, and Judy Verschelde. 

 

Also present was Larry Stoks

 

Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the minutes of the January 4, 2021, Regular City Council meeting.  Minutes were approved as read in a motion by Craig Petersen, seconded by Josh Sumption. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.

 

Discussed the grant that the city applied for in 2020 and the steps needed to complete this due to circumstance out of the city’s control.

 

The Board of Equalization meeting will be held virtually on April 13, 2021 from 6:30 – 7:00 pm.  The regular city council meeting will be held at the conclusion of this meeting.

 

The council members have received concerns about the property on west side of town in regard to the property of A to Z Recycling.

 

Reviewed the status of the ponds. 

289,000 gallons used

 

Josh Sumption made a motion to pay the bills as read.  Craig Petersen seconded the motion.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.

A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Craig Petersen, to adjourn the meeting.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
