Regular City Council Meeting Minutes
Monday, March 7, 2011, 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called the regular city council meeting to order.
Council members present were Eric Dybsetter, Kim Jelen, Darlene Moeller, and

Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the minutes of the
February 7, 2011 Regular City Council meeting.
Minutes were approved as read in a motion by Kim Jelen, seconded by
Darlene Moeller. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was
Citizens of Porter are reminded that the 2011 meeting of the Board of Appeal
and Equalization of the City of Porter is scheduled for April 7th
at 6:30 to 7:00 pm.
The Council appointed Larry Stoks to be weed inspector for the City of

Please note that mowing around the city pump house will not be
required this year.

It was discussed that Eric Dybsetter will be moving outside the city limits
in the coming weeks and will likely resign his position as city clerk.
Anyone interested in being clerk for the city is asked to contact a
City Council member.
Larry Stoks reported on the Water and Sewer Department.
307,000 gallons of water were used in February.
Also, the lift station is drawing too much electrical current.
Dakota Pump has been contacted to diagnose the problem.
An insurance claim has been submitted for damage to the lift station that
was incurred during the September, 2010 flood.
Larry Stoks will contact the adjuster.
A new control panel has been ordered, and Pat Vlaminck will install
it when it arrives.
Darlene Moeller made a motion to pay the bills as read by Eric Dybsetter.
Kim Jelen seconded the motion.
All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
